Hypnotherapy had a very positive and long lasting effect on me. I was having trouble with my sleep - it was hard for me to fall asleep or I'd wake up in the middle of the night, I felt always on high alert, I believe it was due to the stress of being a parent carer for my 19 year old special needs son.
I had 9 sessions in total, and as the sessions progressed, my sleep started improved. It's like I had learnt, from the sessions, a new skill, on how to switch off, how to empty my mind in order to fall asleep. When I started the sessions I very much enjoyed the deep relaxation, but never thought it would really help me with my sleep too.
